Prague Carrom League 2011
The PCL for 2011 finished with the top three positions identical to 2010: the winner was Zdeněk Sviták, followed by Horst Šimunský and Filip Smoljak. Full results here.

6th Carrom Open Cup Prague 2011
The 6th Carrom Open Cup was held on 19 November in Prague, with 38 players from Poland, Germany, Italy and the Czech Republic. In a thrilling final Cornel D’Silva beat Tobias Krüger 25:23. Indian National Carrom Team in Prague
As part of a European tour by the Indian National Carrom Team, on 21 and 22 September the best carrom players in the world will visit Prague as guests of the Czech Carrom Association. The team, including the reigning world champion Yogesh Pardeshi, will demonstrate their skills in an exhibition match starting at 6 p.m. on Wednesday 21 September at the Divadlo Naprádle café, Besední 3, Prague 1. Everyone is welcome.

Prague Indian Film Festival, 6-9 October 2011
We are pleased to announce that we are now a regular partner for this festival. Come to the Bollywood Bazaar at the Světozor cinema, where you can play carrom, have your hands painted with henna, buy clothes and trinkets and sample Indian food. You can find the festival programme here.

Czech National Championships 2011 - new date
The tournament in Žamberk will now be held on 15th October.

Come and play!
This summer you can try playing carrom in Prague: Sunday 17 July in the afternoon: at the open-air art market on the river embankment between Palackého náměstí and the railway bridge. Monday 15 August: celebrations to mark Indian Independence Day on Střelecký ostrov, with carrom in the afternoon and a Bollywood film in the evening. Everyone is welcome.

15th Carrom Eurocup
At the European Carrom Championships held on 24-26 June 2011 in France, Filip Smoljak finished 80th, Romana Králová 82nd and Pavel Schierl 89th. Miroslav "Horst" Šimunsky passed the umpires examination with flying colours and is now a qualified ICF umpire. Congratulations! here.

Czech National Championships 2011
The dates and venues for the three tournaments for the 2011 championships have now been finalised: the Prague Spring Open Cup was held on 26th March in Prague and the next tournament will take place on 24th September in Žamberk, followed by the 6th Carrom Open Cup in Prague on 19th November.

Terrace Carrom Cup 2011
The annual TCC was held on 4th June 2011. The winner was Lorenzo Hürlimann from Switzerland. Full results here.

CCA joins the ECC
The CCA is now a member of the European Carrom Confederation.

Prague Spring Open Cup 2011
The first tournament whose results will be part of the 2011 Czech National Championships was won by Zdeněk Sviták, who in the final beat Ondřej Chmelař 25:16. Suzanne Schackert from Germany finished in third place. Results in full here.

Prague Carrom League 2010
The PCL for 2010 has now ended. The winner is Zdeněk Sviták, followed by Horst Šimunský in second place and Filip Smoljak in third place.

5th Carrom Open Cup
The 5th Carrom Open Cup was held in Prague on 20 November 2010. There were 29 players, including six from German and six from Poland. The winner was Cornel D’Silva (Poland-India), who in the final beat Tobias Krüger (Germany) 25:13. Thanks to everyone who took part.
